Brown Fused Alumina(BFA),also called Brown Aluminum Oxide or Brown Corundum,named mainly by its color, is an artificial electro fused corundum obtained from reduced fusion of high quality bauxite together with other raw materials in 2000℃ electric arc furnaces. The lump sizes are crushed into finer grades or powders and refined by sieving equipment into materials of different particle distribution for different applications.Brown fused alumina grain is adhered to a cloth, fiber, paper or polyester film backing by a resin or glue or other bond. Abrasive grains should exhibit high capillarity for instant adhesion to bonds.
